Instructor Kathy Berry will guide participants through adaptive moves and poses with a focus on the overall mind and wellness journey. Participants are encouraged to register at iop.net and bring a large towel, yoga mat, yoga blocks and water. Isle of Palms Farmer’s Market & Food Truck Jam WHEN: 6/20 4-7 p.m. WHERE: IOP Recreation Center Featuring fresh produce, food vendors, live music and more. The farmer’s market will be held every third Thursday from June through October. Free admission. Parking is available on site. Art at the Rec WHEN: 6/20 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. WHERE: IOP Recreation Center The IOP Rec Department will team up with area artists to host the first annual Art at the Rec blind-juried art show. Participating artists will display and sell artwork throughout the event. Admission is free. Island Vibes Launch Party WHEN: 6/12 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. WHERE: IOPizza Food, drinks, live music and POSTIVE VIBES with friends to support your local newspaper. IOP LENS Leadership Series WHEN: 6/12 6 p.m. WHERE: St. Mark's Lutheran Church The featured speaker will be Barbara Melvin, president and CEO of South Carolina Ports, who made history as the first woman to lead a top 10 U.S. container port, notably overseeing the deepening of Charleston Harbor to 52 feet, the deepest on the East Coast. Leading a 1,000-person team, Melvin plays a crucial role in keeping the Port of Charleston and South Carolina’s inland ports operational and efficient. Sea Stroll & Learn WHEN: 6/13 7:30 a.m. WHERE: 25th Avenue beach access Abbi Cochran of Coastal Expeditions will be joining the stroll to lead a discussion and walk on South Carolina birds. Sea Strolls are held the second Thursday of the month through November. Free.
