IOP LENS Leadership Series WHEN: 6/12 6 p.m. WHERE: St. Mark's Lutheran Church The featured speaker will be Barbara Melvin, president and CEO of South Carolina Ports, who made history as the first woman to lead a top 10 U.S. container port, notably overseeing the deepening of Charleston Harbor to 52 feet, the deepest on the East Coast. Leading a 1,000-person team, Melvin plays a crucial role in keeping the Port of Charleston and South Carolina’s inland ports operational and efficient. Sea Stroll & Learn WHEN: 6/13 7:30 a.m. WHERE: 25th Avenue beach access Abbi Cochran of Coastal Expeditions will be joining the stroll to lead a discussion and walk on South Carolina birds.
