By Kimberlyn Naylor I always consider the month of February to be all about love! But what does that mean exactly? What is love? I was curious about this idea of love and as an Isle of Palms resident, I wondered what my fellow island neighbors thought about love, too. So I took to the streets and asked some of them, “What is your definition of love?” Here is what they said: Dave Bailey “Just being kind and thoughtful and putting others ahead of yourself.” Elizabeth Milliron “Wanting to make someone happy over yourself.” Abby Rodehorst “Feelings or conditions that don't change based on the circumstance.” ACROSS 1. They were thoughtful with what they told me. I noticed a common theme among their answers too: that they all considered love to be about others. I think they are on to something with that. From this, my definition of love is “being kind to everyone no matter the situation.” I hope all our Island Vibes readers can agree about that too and help spread some love around the island this February. I wish you all a Happy Love Day!
