This interactive program utilizes play to encourage creativity and a love for music. A caregiver must attend each class with the child. Cost is $200 for residents and $205 for non-residents. Open to young triathletes aged 6-12, the race features swimming, biking and running segments, capped at 100 spirited participants to ensure a personalized experience. Isle of Palms Polar Plunge WHEN: 2/24 10:30 a.m.-noon WHERE: The Windjammer The Mount Pleasant Police Department is hosting its 9th annual Polar Plunge benefiting Special Olympics South Carolina. This fun event raises money and awareness for over 30,000 Special Olympics athletes in our state. All proceeds raised directly benefit athlete programs statewide. Oysters and Art Auction for Alzheimer’s Services WHEN: 2/10 4-8 p.m. WHERE: IOP Exchange Club Fresh local oysters, hot dogs, chili, open bar and auction with art, gift cards and other items — all to help families living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. Event proceeds will support Respite Care Charleston’s support groups and half-day memory care programs. Front Beach Fest WHEN: 3/2 from noon to 4 p.m. WHERE: Front Beach An afternoon of live music, fun and festivities for the whole family.
