It is the brainchild of The Windjammer owner Malcolm Burgis, who saw an opportunity when an adjacent building became available. Burgis asked his friend and 10-year employee Bret Jones what he thought, and if he could help bring his idea to fruition. Jones created the sketches, and The Dinghy was born. The Dinghy is located in the heart of IOP, amid all the tastiest, trendiest establishments in town. Live music is offered on their patio every evening. Some of its upcoming performances will feature Ryan Slice, Nathan Davis, Dave Landeo, Richard Middleton, the Malin Wagnon Trio and The Bo Show, and that’s just in the first week of December. There There is something special about seeing live music near the beach, with a cold beer in hand as you’re hanging out with your fellow neighbors, friends and family. It’s pure bliss. Pair your musical experience with delectable culinary offerings, such as Dirty Elvis Fries (sweet potato fries topped with warm peanut butter, crispy bacon and fried plantains), tender alligator bites that practically melt in your mouth and a panini-pressed Cuban sandwich, to name a few. Or try the jumbo wings with 16 different flavors, from dry rubs to homemade sauces. Looking for something a bit lighter? They haven’t forgotten the health-conscious patrons, as The Dinghy also offers vegetarian wraps, a grilled chicken sandwich and yummy salads. Whatever your hankering may be, there is truly something for everyone at The Dinghy, whether it’s the prime location, the live music or T the amazing food. And what about the drink offerings?
